Job Purpose/ The Role:
Provide marketing support to the CEO, Editorial and the wider team (events, membership, mentoring, corporate communications) and to focus on ensuring the execution of marketing and social media tasks, whilst maintaining a good communication flow between all members/ areas of the team and external stakeholders involved. We require a self-starter with a hands-on approach, good instincts for prioritisation and has the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
The role will provide support to deliver daily and weekly social media posts, email marketing, staying up-to-date with the latest market and industry trends, creating opportunities and strategies to improve the quality and quantity of our website traffic including our web pages and other digital content such as blogs, podcasts and articles, and handling the logistics for marketing campaigns and events.
The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, positive and a ‘can do’ attitude, ideally have knowledge of Content Relational Management tools (CRMs) and marketing platforms (ideally Hubspot, but not essential) and their automation and workflows.
We are essentially looking for someone to join the team that understands and loves what we do, wants to grow within the role and learn.
Key responsibilities:
- Working closely across our teams (Editorial, Membership, Events, Recruitment) to help create and execute a marketing strategy across our platforms, email and social media campaigns.
- Create and schedule emails campaigns to our subscribers.
- Post daily and weekly social media posts across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc).
- Manage website functions and social media profiles.
- Researching and updating the team on the latest important marketing developments to ensure we are up-to-date with the latest market and industry trends.
- Report on individual projects, as well as daily, weekly and monthly campaigns to the wider team – demonstrating commercial results, insight and campaign effectiveness.
- Handling the logistics for marketing campaigns and events.
- Reporting on campaigns and identifying ways to improve our marketing campaigns.
Skills and qualifications:
- Prior marketing experience, preferably within the sports and/ or law industry.
- Excellent time management skills, and able to work to strict deadlines.
- Technical skills – including proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs/ has had previous experience with Google Suite, but not essential / prior experience with Hubspot preferred, but not essential (training will be provided).
- Prior experience with Canva or other graphic design software.
- Commercially minded with an ability to quickly respond to business/market needs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as proven organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills in order to analyse and interpret information and make recommendations for improved results and develop new ideas.
- Ability to work without supervision and be proactive where necessary.
- Fantastic team player with a proactive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
